California
Devastated by wild fires this year, California needs our help now more than ever. We’re planting trees in the Plumas National Forest to help recoup the 65,000 acres burned in the 2007 Moonlight Fire.
Florida
Recent years of unhealthy forests have been major contributors to Florida’s disastrous wildfires so we’ve decided on this project in Wakulla State Forest, FL in efforts to help restore this biodiverse ecosystem.
Oregon
Forests are shrinking on state and private land in Oregon, where an estimated 522,000 acres of forest cover have disappeared since 2000. That’s an area 6x larger than the city of Portland, equal to more than half of Oregon’s designated state forest.
Uganda
Mount Elgon is an extinct shield volcano located on the border of Uganda and Kenya. Is known for its rich biodiversity.
Canada British Columbia
In 2017, forest fires swept through British Columbia, destroying one million hectares of land and tens of millions of trees. One Tree Planted is planting 1 million trees in BC to help the land and forests recover.
Peru The Andes
Protection and restoration of high Andean forests, impacting other ecosystems from wetlands and peatlands to rainforests.
Senegal
46.7% of Senegal’s population lives below the poverty line. We’re focusing on the reforestation of Fatick, a town of about 25,000 in western Senegal.

U.S. National Forests
Working on behalf of the American public, the NFF leads forest conservation efforts and promotes responsible recreation. We believe these lands, and all they provide, are an American treasure and are vital to the health of our communities.
Madagascar
Madagascar is a nation with over 200,000 species of plants and animals that don’t exist anywhere else in the world. But more than 90% of original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and taking away the Malagasy’s ability to farm and live on the land.
Haiti
Haiti has only 2% of the country’s original forests and is the 3rd hungriest country in the world.
Pacific NW Orca Project
Planting trees along rivers and streams of the Pacific Northwest restores habitat for the endangered orca. Trees help reduce pollution and improve the health and quantity of salmon for the orca to eat!
Appalachia
Planting trees here will benefit nearby communities as hydrological function will be improved, thus providing them with better quality water. This project also creates meaningfully jobs in communities suffering from high rates of poverty and unemployment.
Mexico Michoacan
Mexico is a resting place for the migration of Monarch butterflies, one of nature’s most important pollinators.
Mexico Veracruz
The project proposes to plant trees of local species for three consecutive years in regions of Veracruz, Mexico.
Mexico Oaxaca
Mangrove reforestation on the coast of Oaxaca is a conservation effort aimed at restoring degraded mangrove ecosystems along the coastline.
Casa Partida, Mozambique
The restoration of this mangrove forest has the potential to increase wild fisheries, through erosion control, habitat protection, and safeguarding coral reefs.
